The Department of Law is associated with the Department of Commerce. The Department consists of faculty with experience as an Advocate. The Department caters to the Business Law subject for the Commerce stream mainly for S.Y.B.com students to acquaint them with the legal concepts.

Asst. Prof. Sonia Anant Kamat is currently teaching Business Law at Rosary College. She has completed her Masters in Law from Goa University majoring in Labour Law. She has practiced as an advocate for four years dealing with cases of civil and criminal law. She joined Rosary College in 2015 where she has been in-charge of the Business Law Department since 2017. Currently, she is the Convener of the Anti-Ragging Committee, Prevention of Sexual Harassment Committee and Staff Grievance Redressal Committee. She has presented and published research papers on different topics. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. at G.R.Kare College of Law on the topic ‘Right to Education’.

She has Practiced as an Advocate for 2 years handling criminal and Civil matters. She has experience of teaching in various colleges across Goa. She has also presented and published paper at International Seminar.
